Overview

The dedicated BOP Control System is specifically designed to conduct hydrostatic strength tests and seal performance tests on well control equipment and wellhead assemblies following maintenance, and is compatible with the full range of pressure testing scenarios—including factory testing, maintenance, and re-inspection—for core oil and gas drilling and production equipment such as blowout preventers (BOP) and Christmas trees.

The equipment can be configured with multiple independent test stations and features a human-machine separation safety layout to effectively mitigate risks associated with high-pressure testing operations. The system integrates fully automated control logic, enabling the entire testing process—including automatic pressure ramp-up, staged pressure stabilization and holding, and stepwise pressure relief. Each station operates independently, allowing for individual test parameter settings and separate pressure holding. It collects real-time pressure data, automatically stores test records, plots pressure-time curves, and generates standardized test reports with a single click.

Given the high-risk nature of high-pressure testing operations, the unit is equipped with multiple safety protection mechanisms, including automatic shutdown in case of overpressure, emergency pressure relief, audible and visual fault alarms, and emergency manual pressure relief. Additionally, the electrical and control units meet the requirements for use in explosive environments, making them suitable for explosion-proof conditions at oilfield sites. This ensures the safety, standardization, and data traceability of high-pressure testing operations for blowout preventers (BOP) and Christmas trees.
